Friedo Josch, Marlon Klein and Uve MŸllrich began feeling the global pulse late in 1980. They've played nearly all major European festivals and manned the renowned Glastonbury JazzWorld Stage twice (in 1998 and 1999), and they would love, in the twentieth year of their existence as a band, to play Womex, too. It has been at least ten years since dissidenten played at the festival international de louisiane. I was blown away by the music and bought the cassette (pre-cd era!) life at the pyramids. I have enjoyed that cassette for years until i was able to find it on cd as an import order 2 years ago. Having tried several times to find information on your band numerous times unsuccesfully, I decided to try again today and was shocked to find several sites with info. I had assumed the band had gone separate ways years ago but I'm pleased to find a long discography covering the 90's. I look forward to ordering some of these available recordings. we would love to see you guys return to the festival in the near future. We've had hundreds of awesome bands perform over the years but dissidenten is definitely in the top five....

Das muß ich loswerden : "instinctive traveler" ist für mich eine der besten Scheiben die ich jemals gehört habe! Ich kenn` Euch seit der SDR3 Leute Sendung 1997. Nach dem halben Lied "live and experience" war für mich klar : Die muß ich haben. Nach langer Suche traf ich dann Wolfgang Gugerel, Ihr kennt ihn eventuell, heute mein bester Freund um nicht zu sagen mein Bruder im Geiste. Durch Euch und Eure Platte hat sich mein Leben sehr zum positiven verändert. Darum möchte ich Euch danken und hoffen, daß noch viel von Euch zu hören sein wird. Liebe Dissidenten, auch ich sah Euren fantastischen und überraschenden (weil nicht angekündigten) Auftritt auf der Bonner R(h)einkultur. Schon seit den Tagen von Embryo verfolge ich mit Interesse Euren Weg. Über einen Freund aus Bielefeld kannte ich sogar kurz (er wird sich überhaupt nicht mehr erinnern) "Goofy" alias Mike Wehmeyer bevor er den Job bei Embryo bekam und für Ihn die große Reise begann. Merkwürdigerweise wird Mike in Eurer Web Biographie nicht erwähnt, obwohl er doch laut Covertext "Germanistan" ein Co-Founder der Dissidenten ist. Was macht Mike jetzt? Sorry, wenn ich in den alten Embryo Tagen wühle, gibt es eine Chance an das "Vagabundenkarawane" Video zu "Embryo's Reisen" zu kommen? Ich habe diese Dokumentation seinerzeit im ZDF gesehen und immer noch einige Szenen in guter Erinnerung (das Fleckenzirkuszelt in Pakistan(?), die Panzer im Iran, ...). tach auch, ich habe euch im letzten winter in ansbach gesehen - und natuerlich gehört - und war unendlich begeistert. nach einiger sucharbeit habe ich dann sogar die platte live in europe gefunden, mehr allerdings auch nicht. es hat sich leider als recht kompliziert herausgestellt, platten von euch zu bekommen - wie es mit anspruchsvoller musik eben nur allzu oft der fall ist, leider. ich waehre euch wirklich dankbar, wenn ihr mir schreiben koenntet, wo man mehr von euch bekommen kann. auf dem begleitzettel zu der o. g. cd mahlt ihr ein recht duesteres bild von der welt. sicherlich habt ihr mit vielem recht, allerdings bin ich der meinung, dass wir versuchen sollten, mehr die positiven seiten, das schoene dieser welt sehen. ich laufe bestimmt nicht mit einer rosa brille durch die welt, ich meine nur, wenn wir nicht den blick für das schoene verlohren haetten, wuerden wir auch weniger zerstoeren, haetten wir nicht vergessen auf unseren nachbarn zu achten, den menschen und die - ich nenne es mal - schoepfung zu ehren oder wenigstens wahrzunehmen, koennte nicht das passieren, was passiert auf dieser welt. würde es auf dieser welt nicht vorwiegend um geld und die damit verbundene macht gehen, wuerde ein hr. milosevic nie auf die idee kommen, seine nachbarn auf diese weise zu behandeln, wuerde die nato nicht auf die idee kommen alles platt-zu-bomben. schreibt mir doch, was ihr dazu zu sagen habt. ich bin sicher ihr koennt mir neue anregungen geben. hoffentlich bis bald werner

Liebe Dissidenten, ich gehörte zu denjenigen, die 1998 das Glück hatten einen Auftritt von Euch zu sehen und zwar im "Kito" in Bremen-Vegesack. Es war ein wunderschönes Konzert und darum gleich meine Frage gibt es für 1999 schon einen Tourneeplan von Euch, kann man Euch vielleicht auch dieses Jahr in Glastonbury sehen? Es wäre schön von Euch zu hören. Ihr habt so jeder für sich allerhand Soloprojekte in den Jahren gemacht gibt es davon auch Cds, könnt ihr die nicht einmal auf Eurer homepage bringen?
