Cherif Lamrani - Leader and Sprit of LEM CHAHEB |
![]() |
Moulay
Cherif Lamrani died in Rabat on Wednesday 27th October at the age of
55 after prolonged illness. What a great loss to his family, friends, fans and the music world. Cherif certainly was one of the best arabic songwriters and musician and he will be sadly missed. |
| Dissidenten
and Lem Chaheb's Moulay Cherif Lamrani started working together in Tanger,
Morocco. Here their Project "Sahara Elektrik" was developed.
From this colaboration very much rose the term world-music.
We very much regret that he had to leave the session much to soon. His
music will live on. |
